    CONTENT: Pharmacology: The art of preparing and dispensing drugs.Science of drugs, including their composition, uses and effects. Common systems, apothecaries measures, dosage calculations, terminology, interpretation of prescriptions, metric system.
    PERFORMANCE: Explain solution to a problem. Students will be given a prescription, which they will interpret, and for which they will do all calculations.

    CONTENT: Forensic DNA Testing: The forensic DNA test compares the genetic material in biologic specimens from a  crime scene to that of a suspect. Extracting DNA, crime scene evidence, DNA fingerprinting, 
    PERFORMANCE: Students will be given a crime scene and evidence. They will solve the case using their understanding of forensics. Lab report using hair samples.

    CONTENT: Cloning: Cloning is often necessary to express your gene of interest in multiple expression systems in order to find the one that best meets your criteria for posttransational modifications, yield and functionality. Understand high performance protein separation; explain PCR cloning; etc....

    CONTENT: Genetics: Genetics is the study of heredity. dominant and recessive genes, codominance, genotype, phenotypes, population study, scientists see and manipulate DNA
    PERFORMANCE: Students will make a comparative analysis of population via a group project. End product will be a lab report using gel electrophoresis and diagrams of structures
