    CONTENT: What Are Characteristics of Gas Laws? The states of matter (solid, liquid, gas) differ in the spacing and motion of the molecules of the substance As a substance is heated, molecular motion increases. Demonstrate an understanding of the Kinetic Molecular Theory as a basis for gas laws.
    PERFORMANCE: Lab Report, Students will know the properties of gasses and and understand the kinetic molecular theory and the 4 variables that describe gas.

    CONTENT: Gases and Condensation  The volume of a given number of moles of gas at a given temperature is inversely proportional to it's pressure (Boyle's Law)

Ability to name a compound, given its structural formula. Ability to define and recognize polymers.

Students will recognize the importance of enzymes in biochemical reactions in particular and  life in general
    PERFORMANCE: Lab Report  Students will be able to perform qualitative tests on carbohydrates, fats, or proteins, and be able to develop an analytical scheme in their identification.
