Safety and Injury Prevention
Students will gain the knowledge and skills to administer first aid and carry out emergency procedures ;will avoid, recognize, and report.verbal, physical and emotional abusive situations; and will assess the factors that contribute to intentional and unintentional injury, including motor vehicle safety, fire safety, and weapons safety. PERFORMANCE: Given a variety of relationship scenarios, students will identify abusive, harassing behaviours and suggest appropriate courses of action. End product: Short essay identifying abusive/harassing behaviours from scenarious in real life. |
