    CRITICAL THINKING
    STEPS
    QUESTIONS TO FOCUS AND DEVELOP THE LESSON PLAN,  PRESENT THE LESSON, AND GET FEEDBACK FROM YOUR CLASSMATES.
    1. Focusing
  • What do I want them to remember,  do , practice, etc.? 
  • 2. Information Gathering
  • What can I use to help them learn?
  • 3. Organizing
  • How will I organize my lesson to reinforce learning?
  • 4. Analyzing 
        and
    5. Synthesizing
  • What is the ability level of my audience? 
  • What presentation mode will I use?  (Lecture, Film, Discussion, etc.)
  • Is my lesson suitable for this ability level?
  • Am I reinforcing the lesson using repetition, audio visual materials, and/or handouts?
  • Am I providing for pauses in the presentation to make certain they are following?
  • 6. Evaluating
  • How can I tell if they have learned what I want them to remember? 
  • How can my lesson be improved before presenting it again to a different group?
